Committee Reports:

Secretary’s Report:

The meeting was held 14 June 2008, 9:30 AM at our flying field, Sebastian, Florida.

The secretary read May’s minutes. Motion was carried and approved.
Please note the club will need to look for a replacement for the secretary’s position at the November elections. It’s only a few months away. I will help you get started if you need help. I had to learn it the hard way. On top of that, the news letter editor passed away. That was fun trying to fill in.

Treasure’s Report:

I’ll report that the club has $23,386.95 on hand as of 13 June 2008. The club expenses for the months of May/June 2008 were $964.29. Income for this period was $379.50. Motion was carried and approved.

Safety Coordinator’s Report:

Gary reported a good month for May/June. Just the normal unscheduled landings. Gary explained to the members the reason for the field safety rules. Everyone needs to follow them for safety sake.
Still looking for a new safety coordinator to replace Gary.

Field Marshal’s Report:

Robert Hay reported that he spread fertilizer, weed killer and insect dust on the field.
The rainy season will start soon and the field will green up fast. We will need to mow twice a week soon.

Road construction is continuing at the corner of CR512 and CR510, plus widening CR512 east and west of the intersection plus extending it to Interstate 95. Please be careful driving. Getting power to the field was brought up again.

New Business:

Richard brought to the attention of the members the need to seal the building, fencing and the tables. In the past diesel fuel and motor oil were mixed together and brushed on the listed item. Now the members want the try and use a commercial product to seal everything. Motion was carried and approved
